Energy-Based Approach: Analysis of a Vertically Loaded Pile in Multi-Layered Non-Linear Soil Strata

چکیده
Numerous studies have been reported in the published literature on analytical solutions for a vertically loaded pile installed homogeneous single soil layer. However, piles are rarely an ideal This study presents model based energy-based approach to obtain displacements axially embedded multi-layered considering non-linearity. The developed incorporating Euler-Bernoulli beam theory proved be effective way estimating load-displacement responses of non-linear elastic strata. differential equations solved analytically and numerically using variational principle mechanics. A parametric investigated effect explicit incorporation properties layering order understand importance predicting appropriate displacement linear system. It is clear from results that analyses which consider as layer will not able produce accurate estimation stiffnesses. Therefore, it highly important account response. response obtained software MATLAB R2019a method compared with those field test data well Finite Element Analysis (FEA) ANSYS 2019R3. constitutive relationship described variation secant shear modulus strain through power law has shown reasonably predictions when FEA. mathematical framework also more computationally efficient than three-dimensional (3D)

Smart urban-level applications require high-fidelity and high-resolution models. This circumstance has raised the interest in computational models of mass, energy, and information flows in the urban context. Toward this end, we focus in the present contribution on a multilayered approach to urban energy computing. The variance in the spatial and temporal resolution of the queries' purpose and i...
متن کاملOPTIMAL SHAKEDOWN ANALYSIS OF LATERALLY LOADED PILE WITH LIMITED RESIDUAL STRAIN ENERGY
For application of the plastic analysis and design methods the control of the plastic behaviour of the structures is an important requirement. In this study, the complementary strain energy of the residual forces is considered as an overall measure of the plastic performance of the structure. Shakedown theorem for the analysis of the plastic behaviour of the laterally loaded piles is developed ...
متن کاملthe effectiveness of strategy-based instruction in teaching english as a second or foreign language: a meta-analysis of experimental studies
a large number of single research studies on the effects of strategy-based instruction (sbi) in teaching english as a foreign or second language has been conducted so far. however, the lack of a comprehensive meta-analysis targeting the effectiveness of english language sbi is observed. moreover, the findings of experimental studies regarding the context of the english language, proficiency lev...
non-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures
seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...
